Our Research

For the Draper Hero Institute

Founded by Silicon Valley venture capitalist Tim Draper, the Draper Hero Institute seeks to support tomorrow’s entrepreneurs. As DHI Chief Economic Advisor, TCCG Managing Partner Dr. Wallace Walrod has played a pivotal role in one of Draper’s newest projects, the Draper Innovation Index (DII), which aggregates a variety of data points to assess a particular area’s business climate and capacity to support innovation and entrepreneurship. There are two versions of the DII:

  • the DII Global, ranking every nation on earth,

  • and the DII U.S., ranking all fifty U.S. states.

In addition to helping develop both versions of the DII, Dr. Walrod and TCCG continue to contribute to monthly and quarterly updates.
